Gerster Consulting is committed to international cooperation. We are active across a large range of development issues. Some of the key areas we are working on include:

  • Poverty, in particular poverty reduction strategies (PRS) and pro-poor policies,
  • trade, in particular WTO rules and fair trade,
  • finance, in particular the role of the Bretton Woods Institutions,
  • technology, in particular information and communication technologies (ICTs),
  • environment,
  • development cooperation, in particular aid effectiveness and budget support,
  • globalisation.

Core concerns are research, policy analysis and advocacy as well as the dissemination of information on all these aspects of international cooperation, on North-South-relations and on achievements and problems faced by developing and transition countries.

Our main clients are government agencies, private sector entities, non-profit organisations and multilateral institutions. Various individuals and organisations are among our cooperation partners.

Gerster Consulting was founded in 1998, under the name Gerster Development Consultants.
